What is wrong with my tongue?
Okay, you know that white crap you get on your tongue? Well I have a lot of it… and lately it’s turned yellow. Yeah, it’s really gross.
Details:
-I alternate between Colgate and Sensodyne
-I am using Chlorhexadine mouthwash b/c I had my wisdom teeth out recently
-Penicillin for the same reason
-Same diet as before my tongue-filth turned yellow
-Just a minute ago, I tried to scrape some off and got it on the tip of my tongue and… it tastes like Tums. WTF?
I have the same thing, Its really gross. My dentist informed me it was a condition called "furry tongue" Ive noticed when I drink alot of pop or eat acid foods it makes it 10x worse. There is no cure according to the dentist other than the usual good diet and good oral hygeine….but I recently got a canker sore and instead of salt water, I put salt directly on my tongue and that seemed to get rid of the yellow stuff so thats what im gonna do and try to cut back on the mountain dew…hope this helps.
