Q. If i shoot a rabbit , or a small bird with a pump bb gun will i kill it?
A. It depends on the gun. Since I don’t know what gun you’re using, its impossible to say for sure. With a single pump pellet gun like the Daisy Grizzly (1), then its extremely doubtful you could kill anything larger than a mouse (and maybe not even one of those). That’s because guns like the Grizzly only have about 1.5 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. If you’re talking about a multi-pump pellet gun like the Crosman 2100 (2), Daisy 880 (3), or Crosman 664 SB (4) that gets between 6 and 9 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, then you can kill things like mice, English sparrows, starlings, pigeons, squirrels, and maybe rabbits out to 20-22 meters or so with perfect shot placement.(5) With a break-barrel springer like the Crosman Phantom (6), the Gamo Big Cat (7), or the RWS 34 (8) that gets say 13-15 ft-lbs of muzzle energy you can kill mice, English sparrows, starlings, pigeons, squirrels, and rabbits out to 30+ meters. For a pellet gun like the RWS 350, Benjamin Discovery, Airforce Condor… which gets more than 20 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, you you can kill mice, English sparrows, starlings, pigeons, squirrels, and rabbits out to 50+ meters.
Q. What if i use a sling shot (marksman pro 3030 ) will i get a penatration , or maybe a kill?
A. Its possible. A lot would depend on the ammunition you were using (3/8ths in steel shot or 1/2 inch ball bearings…) and exactly how powerful that specific slingshot is. A lot would also depend on how far away you were shooting from.
Edit:
As CF45 said, the guns you linked to are airsoft guns. Since they typically have less than .5 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, they’re not going to be able kill anything bigger than a fly. You need to look into getting one of the pellet rifles that were mentioned in either my response or CF45’s response as being appropriate for birds and rabbits if you want a hunting airgun.
Edit:
As CF45 said, I’m fond of multi-pumps like the Crosman 2100.
The two guns you linked to are both Crosman 2100s sold as combo packages (gun, scope, etc…). Honestly the Crosman 2104X is probably the better deal since the Airmaster 77 is basically the same gun and scope with a package of pellets and a couple targets tossed in. The extras and Remington name aren’t worth the $20 they’re charging you.
As for maintenance supplies… Just buy a couple tubes of Crosman pellgun oil. That’s really the only maintenance supply you need for a multi-pump gun. If I remember right, Crosman says to put a drop of pellgun oil on the pump-head and moving parts every 250 shots for the Crosman 2100. A couple tubes of pellgun oil should last, oh… several years even if you shoot a lot.

You’ve probably got a better chance of killing something with the slingshot, but i doubt very much if it will penetrate.
THE LAMPER | Jan 20, 2010
No. And as most small birds (song birds) are protected by state and or federal law, don’t shoot them. i know it’s a temptation but please don’t.
All you will do is injure the rabbit badly enough that it will run off and suffer a slow and agonizing death.

You can kill dove, crow, quail, rabbit pretty easy with a bb gun; as long as it exceeds 900 fps. I killed a few rabbits (1 shot killed instantly) with a pellet (not a bb) but you can kill some dove with a bb 500 fps +
will | Jan 20, 2010
You can easily kill small birds with a BB gun. I have shot tonnes of house sparrows using my good old medalist pellet/BB gun that shoots around 450-490 fps. I have also used my pellet hand gun that shoots around 400 fps. As, for Rabbits I think you would want a pellet gun that shoots around 900+ fps

If the rabbit or bird you shooting are considered game bird you need to check the hunting regulations and they will tell you the minimum legal caliber you can use to hunt them and also you need to know if they are in season
Cableguy | Jan 20, 2010
if i was you i would buy a break barrel air rifle instead of a bb gun , its more accurate ,a hundred times more powerful , longer lasting and just plain better looking ! walmart has them for around $100-$200 i got myself obe and with a cheap scope i can shoot a penny at 40 yards, you just cant get that kinda accuracy with a normal pump action bb gun with open sights ! my advice is to start with a proper air rifle and do it right !

Your question has several aspects to it to which I do not believe all can be addressed.
I do not believe a BB gun can kill a rabbit, perhaps a small bird.
Regarding weapons, this is really too general of a question. One could use anything from a .50 sniper rifle to a .17 pellet gun and kill the rabbit. However, within the context of your question, it appears you wish to remain with non-firearms.
I would recommend a good pellet gun in .22 caliber. The Gamo line is cheap and not as accurate, thus I would stay away from Gamo. The RWS line of pellet guns and several others are very good.
All of this is greatly determined on the specifics of the amount you wish to spend, the conditions of the hunting area (local neighborhood, woods, etc), and what is the extent of the animals you hunt?

If you shoot a rabbit with a bb gun it will run away mortally wounded. Probably the same thing with the slingshot, even though it’s a good one. Small birds are going to die if you hit them with anything. That said, I highly recommend you don’t do it. Find someone to teach you how to go hunting for real. I love to hunt and when I was younger I used to kill birds and squirrels with a bb gun. I’m 43 now and to this day I feel terrible for doing it. Some of the animals suffered a lot and it still gives me nightmares, seriously. I have learned that all animals are to be respected because they want to live as much as we do. I hunt to put meat on the table only and I will not hunt out of season or with a weapon that is not legal for hunting (bb gun). Seriously, save yourself a lot of guilt by leaving the little tweetie birds alone and only kill squirrels, rabbit, etc. if you’re gonna eat it. Then you will feel good about what you accomplished by putting meat on the table. Always honor the animals who’s life you took.

OMG, those are airsoft toys.
No, you will not kill a rabbit or pigeon with it.
For hunting small game and or pests you need an air rifle(pellet gun).
A Crosman 2100 is about the minimum for any type of hunting. Even better would be something like a Benjamin 392 or 397
A really nice starter air rifle for someone your age is the .177 caliber RWS 34

Well for one, Pyramyd Air will ship anywhere in the world the law allows. So it you’re allowed to own an air rifle, they can send it to you. You might want to stock up on pellets* at the same time if you go that route…And don’t forget maintenance supplies…
*I would suggest either the Crosman Premier Domed Light(7.9gr) or the RWS Superdome(8.3gr) or both, since they both perform well in a wide variety of medium power air rifles.

"What do you mean by maintenance supplies"
I did not get specific because I don’t know which air rifle(BB/pellet gun) you might be interested in or buy..Pyramyd Air would be able to tell you which you need for any particular rifle..Don’t worry, maintenance supplies(lubricants/cleaners) for air rifles are not expensive and a small amount will last you a very long time…
Warning:
Petroleum based lubricants can NOT be used with spring piston airguns…They can/will cause dieseling(explosion) in the compression chamber
"Wouldn’t a break barrel be better"
A .177 caliber RWS 34 is a break barrel rifle, and of course it would be my choice by a wide margin over a multi-pump pneumatic like the Crosman 2100(AKA the Remington AirMaster 77). But, they both have their advantages..
The RWS 34 is more of a hunting/target rifle where the Crosman 2100 is more of a plinker(with BBs), that can be used for punching holes in paper(targets) and as a short range small game rifle
The 34 is a much more accurate, powerful, durable rifle…

"I did my research, which one should I buy"
If you read the specs, the rifles are nearly identical in every way. They are both built by Crosman, one they stamp Crosman, one Remington. Other than the name, there are only three small differences that I have noticed. Obviously one is black(remington) and one is brown(crosman). The second thing is BB capacity, the Remington does hold more BBs. The third thing, is that with the packages you chose, IMO the Remington(4×20 scope) is somewhat nicer than the Crosman(4×15 scope)….
If it were me, I would go with the Remington AirMaster 77…>I have no way of knowing what you have available as far as big box stores(Walmart, etc) or sporting goods, but here in the states a good number of them either carry the 77 or 2100…That would save on shipping….
Or if you just have to buy the rifle from PA and have it shipped over. You might check with some of your friends and see if they would like to buy at the same time…If PA ships them at the same time, and in the same container…It should save you a considerable amount on shipping…
BBs – if you build a BB/Pellet trap – BBs that are captured by the trap can be reused making them even more economical. Pellets are much more accurate, and effective when hunting, but cannot be reused…
If you need/want more info on the Crosman 2100/Remington AirMaster 77 you might contact** "J Kirsch" since it’s one of his favorites….

uhh an airsoft gun will not kill anything, it will just break a few ribs on a small small bird. belive me, about 4 years ago, a few buddys and i would use high power like 450 fps airsoft guns with .25 grain bb’s to shoot squirrel, and they just ran off laughing. no luck at all. now a multi pump bb gun like a daisy powerline 880, will kill a bird or a squirrel. dont even attempt to shoot them with thos airsoft guns you have.
